Veranda® Sunbeam™

Scientific name: Rosa

Rose type: Floribunda

Bloom color: Golden Yellow

The Veranda® Sunbeam™ is a radiant and compact Floribunda rose from the Kordes® Veranda® collection, designed to bring a steady stream of “sunshine” to even the smallest garden spaces. It produces high-centered, double blooms in a clear, bright yellow that hold their color remarkably well without fading to cream. As with all members of the Veranda® series, this variety is prized for its tidy, bushy habit and its glossy, dark green foliage that exhibits top-tier resistance to black spot and mildew. It is a reliable, high-performance bloomer that provides a cheerful, sunny display from late spring through fall.

Grow Guide

  • Light: Plant in Full Sun (at least 6+ hours of direct sunlight) to maintain its compact shape and ensure the most prolific, bright yellow bloom cycles.
  • Hardiness: Highly adaptable and resilient, suitable for Zones 5–11, performing excellently in both northern winters and hot, humid southern summers.
  • Spacing & Size: This rose is naturally dwarf and well-branched, typically reaching 2′ tall and 2′ wide. Space plants 2′ apart center-to-center for a dense, low hedge or mass planting.
  • Watering: Water regularly until established. Once mature, it prefers consistent watering at the base—about an inch per week—during dry periods to maintain its vigor and healthy, glossy foliage.
  • Best Use: Its petite habit and high flower count make it an ideal choice for containers, patio pots, and small urban gardens. It is also perfectly suited for edging walkways or the front of a mixed border.
