Kolorscape® Kardinal™
The Kolorscape® Kardinal™ is a show-stopping landscape rose engineered for high-impact color and ultimate durability. As part of the Kolorscape® collection, this variety is bred to be “self-cleaning” and highly disease-resistant, maintaining its lush, glossy green foliage without the need for heavy maintenance. Grow Guide
- Light: Plant in Full Sun to Partial Shade. While it thrives and blooms most prolifically in 6+ hours of sun, it is more tolerant of partial shade than traditional hybrid teas.
- Hardiness: Highly resilient and suitable for Zones 5–11, making it an excellent choice for southern gardens with extreme heat and humidity.
- Spacing & Size: This rose has an upright to bushy habit, reaching 3–4′ tall and 2–3′ wide. Space accordingly (3′ apart) to create a dense, flowering hedge or mass planting.
- Watering: Water regularly until fully established. Once mature, it is quite drought tolerant, though it prefers deep watering at the base during dry spells to maintain its vigorous blooming.
- Best Use: Its compact, self-cleaning nature makes it perfect for low-maintenance hedges, mass plantings, and borders. It is also a fantastic pollinator-friendly choice for large patio containers.
