Peach Drift®
The Peach Drift® is one of the most floriferous members of the Drift® series, famous for its ability to completely cover itself in soft, apricot-peach blooms from mid-spring until the first hard freeze of fall. This dwarf shrub features small, double flowers that reveal golden stamens, creating a charming display against its glossy, deep green foliage. Highly disease-resistant, heat-tolerant, and cold-hardy, Peach Drift® offers a consistent, “glow-like” presence in the garden with the minimal maintenance typical of groundcover roses.
Grow Guide
- Light: Plant in Full Sun (at least 6+ hours of direct sunlight) to maintain its dense habit and ensure the most prolific flowering cycles.
- Hardiness: Remarkably durable and suitable for Zones 4–11, allowing it to thrive in nearly any North American climate.
- Spacing & Size: This compact, mounding shrub typically reaches 1.5′ tall and 2′ wide. Space plants 2–3′ apart (center-on-center) to create a seamless flowering carpet or low hedge.
- Watering: Water regularly until established. Once mature, it prefers consistent moisture at the base—about an inch per week—but is quite resilient during dry spells. Always water early in the day to keep the foliage dry.
- Best Use: Its low-growing, arching habit makes it perfect for mass plantings, slopes, and edging walkways. It is also a top-tier choice for spilling out of containers or adding a soft color pop to the front of a mixed border.
