Pink Drift®

Scientific name: Rosa

Rose type: Groundcover

Bloom color: Pink

The Pink Drift® is one of the most popular and vibrant selections in the Drift® series, known for its ability to create a dense carpet of color. It features clusters of bright, deep pink flowers with cheerful yellow centers that bloom continuously from mid-spring until the first hard frost. A cross between a full-size groundcover rose and a miniature rose, Pink Drift® maintains a manageable, compact habit and boasts exceptional resistance to rust, powdery mildew, and black spot. Its vigorous growth and “easy-care” nature make it a reliable choice for adding a long-lasting splash of pink to any sunny landscape.

Grow Guide

  • Light: Plant in Full Sun (at least 6+ hours of direct sunlight) to promote the densest foliage and the most abundant flower production.
  • Hardiness: Highly durable and suitable for Zones 4–11, performing excellently in both cold northern climates and hot, humid southern regions.
  • Spacing & Size: This low-growing shrub typically reaches 1.5′ tall and 3′ wide. Space plants 2–3′ apart (center-to-center) to achieve a full, seamless groundcover effect.
  • Watering: Water regularly until fully established. Once mature, it is remarkably drought tolerant, but prefers deep watering at the base during dry spells. Always water early in the day to keep the foliage dry.
  • Best Use: Its spreading and mounding habit makes it an ideal solution for slopes, erosion control, and mass plantings. It also works beautifully for edging walkways, filling in garden beds, or as a “spiller” in large patio containers.
