Tequila® Supreme
The Tequila® Supreme is a vibrant and highly resilient Floribunda rose, celebrated for its unique “pinky-orange” color and distinctive scalloped petals. This multi-award-winning variety (including the 2014 Edith Wharton Award for Best Floribunda) produces large, 3.5-inch blooms in a warm blend of copper and ochre that stays radiant throughout the season. Known for being “the life of the party,” it is exceptionally vigorous and disease-resistant, thriving even in tough, hot, and humid conditions that might stress other varieties. With its bushy habit and glossy, bright green foliage, it provides a nearly continuous flush of sunlit color from spring through the first frost.
Grow Guide
- Light: Plant in Full Sun (at least 6+ hours of direct sunlight) to fuel its vigorous growth and ensure the most prolific reblooming cycles.
- Hardiness: Highly adaptable and tough, suitable for Zones 5–10, with proven performance in heat-intensive regions like the East Coast.
- Spacing & Size: This rose has a well-balanced, bushy habit, reaching approximately 4½’ tall and 4′ wide. Space plants 3–4′ apart to allow for its mature spread while ensuring healthy airflow.
- Watering: Water regularly until fully established. Once mature, it prefers consistent watering at the base—about an inch per week—to keep the roots hydrated and the foliage dry.
- Best Use: Its bushy form and non-stop blooming make it ideal for landscape borders, flowering hedges, and mass plantings. Its long, sturdy stems also make it a reliable choice for cutting gardens and floral arrangements.
